Dasari Narayana Rao, the veteran director, actor, story writer, screenwriter, lyricist in Telugu Film Industry and who earned the respect of being a wise man in T-town has created a sensation in the media with his comments on present day actresses.

He said, “There is no heroine worth her name in Telugu film industry. Presently, those who are boasting themselves to be heroines are not actresses at all. They are rather Item girls. Earlier, only the likes of Silk Smitha and Disco Shanti used to perform item numbers. But today, even the actresses in top position are craving to perform item numbers. Moreover, these present day heroines are not even surviving for five years. They just fade out and disappear after 5 years”, he said.
