A poor writing with perfect casting sometimes helps the movie touch success due to the excessive 'performance' baggage a talented brings to screen. However, too much star cast in a movie wont give full meals to audiences, but only a bits and pieces taste of all the dishes, which results in disappointment.
It happened with 'S/o Satyamurthy' recently as a dozen of talented star actors are roped in into the film. Other than Bunny, neither Upendra nor Kota Srinivas fed us a mouthful of entertainment. By the time we started to enjoy Rajendra Prasad, his scene cuts short and overtakes us to Rao Ramesh. As we start to enjoy his role, then Ali enters, MS disturbs, Brahmi chatters, Sneha flatters and much more. On a whole, no actor got a reasonable amount of screen time due to presence of many characters, it looks.
Coming to Mahesh Babu's latest movie 'Srimanthudu', it's the same thing that hurts again. Apart from Mahesh and Shruti Haasan, we have a gang of ladies including Sukanya, Sana, Angana Roy and some noted TV artistes. In gents section there is Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj's cameo and Sampath.
With each a day a new actor or actress' name turning up in new tabloid regarding this flick, doubts are being raised if all these bunch will give a full meals to audience or not?
