This is one more incident in Telugu film industry which showcases the poor condition of small film producers. The industry day by day is becoming totally alien to small producers and getting subdued to star heroes even though the hit percentage is very low. The best example we have is Budugu which has Manchu Lakshmi playing the lead role.

Budugu is the story of a kid of a working parents who do not have time for their kid. Budugu suffers from abnormal experiences fearing ghosts chasing him. It was then his mother (Lakshmi Manchu) resigns to job and stay with him. The situations leading further with the experiences of Budugu and his parents form the rest of the story.

The story totally revolved around Manchu Lakshmi and due to her popular image in people, the makers have unleashed a Lakshmi Manchu centric publicity for the movie. However their problems started right here. The producer battling all the financial issues readied the film for Summer release. At the same time, Lakshmi Manchu's Dongata is ready for release.

Lakshmi is the producer of Dongata and she wants to steal the summer advantage from Budugu. She asked Budugu producers to release the movie four weeks after Dongata release. They tried to explain her that it is impossible since the financial woes will become too much to handle. Lakshmi Manchu is totally disappointed with their response and is not cooperating with the publicity of Budugu. We will have to see if Lakshmi Manchu shows mercy on the producers as they release Budugu this Friday.
