Timesofap Rating: 2.5/5

Nani is here to rock the Ugadi festival with two movies releasing on the same day. Here’s a take on the movie ‘Jenda Pai Kapiraju’

Story:

Nani is a IT professional, who is a principled guy. In the process of following all the rules of the land, he rubs many in a wrong way and ends up in a big trouble. It is a story of a guy seeking vigilante justice, against the corrupt in the society. How far he succeeded in crusading against the corruption and the corrupts, forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Nani has got to play a dual role in the film and he was absolutely brilliant as a helpless common man and a cunning crooked person. He excelled in showcasing his acting prowess and manages to impress in both the positive and negative shades.

Amala Paul has once again proved she is a performing actress in a decent role. Soori, who played a friend character has a good role to tickle you at times in a serious film. Ragini dwivedi has stick to her usual self and has added that oomph factor to the film with a special song.

Technical Aspects And Analysis:

Director Samudrakhani, who has proved his mettle with his previous films like Shambo Shiva Shambo, has chose to present a typical Shankar style story. The film reminds you of Aparichithudu a lot since its plot is quite similar.

He managed to carry a racy and interesting first half and was perfect in dealing a serious subject but he gets deviated in the second part, as he thrusts too manycommercial elements.

He got carried away by the formulaic film making and failed to impress in the end. Unwanted song placements are nothing but a bumps in a road. The content lacks its impact at the last and gets too preachy to take. Music by G V Prakash was a thumbs up but they failed to create any effect in the film as they were totally unnecessary in the story.

Cameraman did a decent job and editing should have been more crispier. Sarath kumar cameo as CBI officer came as a surprise.

Final Word:

Jenda Pai Kapiraju has its bits and pieces of negatives and positives and it is still a watchable film with a great content and brilliant performances.
