Though there were plans to remake Tamil hit ‘Jilla’ in Telugu, it is now confirmed that the dubbed version of the film will hit the screens.
T Kumar Reddy, who bagged the dubbed version rights, will be releasing the flick across the two Telugu states along with RB Chowdary, Super Good Films chief. Reddy said he will come up with a new title soon.
Directed by RT Neason, ‘Jilla’ traced the story of a Madurai don (played by Mohanlal), who brings up his driver’s son as his own after he is killed by a cop.
The son (played by Vijay) grows up with an aversion to cops but to save his father’s crime syndicate, is forced to don the khaki but soon the tables are turned. Kajal Aggarwal played Vijay’s romantic interest in the flick.
