Mollywood’s hit flick Drishyam was remade in many languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada. The Telugu and Kannada versions of the movie were already released in 2014 and made a grand success.
While talking to the media, Joseph who is the director of Papanasam said, “Apart from changing some sensibilities to suit local audiences, we’ve made Papanasam more emotional as Kamal sir felt Tamil audiences like to be emotionally piqued. The core of the film hasn’t been changed, but what forms the core has been treated differently”
In Tamil, the film is titled Papanasam starring Kamal Haasan and Gautami Tadimalla in the lead roles. In Hindi, the lead characters are played by Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran.
According to our sources, Papanasam was expected to hit the silver screens this Friday – July 3rd 2015 before Hindi Drishyam, which is touted to release on July 31st.
