We have reported sometime back that the USA distribution rights of ‘Gopala Gopala’ were acquired for 3.5 crores.

Generally, there used to be a tough fight between the exhibitors for a star hero’s film.

Gopala Gopala is not only a multistarrer, but also one of the most aniticapted films of 2015.

Still, most of the exhibitors are not interested to buy the film because of Shankar’s ‘I’. Both these films are scheduled to hit the theaters for Sankranti.

‘I’ will be releasing in close to 450 theatres in USA and this is an all-time record for an Indian film. So, the exhibitors have clearly stated to the distributor that they can buy ‘Gopala Gopala’, only if the film releases on January 9, 2015.

They have explained their concerns and said that they don’t want to gamble their money by buying ‘Gopala Gopala’ when Shankar’s ‘I’ is releasing on the other side.
