Actress Priyanka Chopra’s New Year started with quite a bang, well, literally. The actress, who is holidaying in the Maldives, met with an accident this week.

According to reports, Priyanka had gone boating at night when the accident took place. Apparently, her boat hit a huge coral reef and it created a little chaos and tension on the boat.

After the accident, the actress and others on board had to wait for a while before the coast guard rescued them. But, thankfully no one was hurt during the incident.

The actress tweeted photos and wrote, “Rescue operation!!! Phew! Finally made it to the hotel! Which is stunning! Thank u coast Guard! (sic)”
