2014's biggest blockbuster that collected nearly 56+ crores share in its full run, Surender Reddy directorial "Race Gurram" has scaled yet another height. Produced by Nallamalupu Srinivas and featuring Allu Arjun, Shruti Haasan in the leads, the film bagged prestigious B Nagi Reddy Memorial Award for being an awesome family entertainer.
Every year, Vijaya Medical And Educational Trust awards the prestigious BN Reddy Award to highly entertaining Telugu and Tamil films. For starters, BN Reddy is a producer who owned Vijaya Vahini Studios, the then Asia's biggest film studio and produced classics like Patala Bhairavi (1951), Missamma (1955), Maya Bazaar (1957) and Gundamma Katha (1962). He is recipient on Dadasaheb Phalke and Raghupathi Venkayya awards. It was Nagi Reddy who started "Andhra Jyothy" paper in 1945 and "Chandamama" comic magazine in 1947.
Coming to "Race Gurram", the prestigious BN Reddy Award will be awarded on April 19th to producers Nallamalupu Srinivas (Bujji) and Dr. Venkateswara Rao through the hands of actor Krishna and actress-director Vijaya Nirmala.
