Every time they call promote a Telugu movie as an artistic film, we later find in theatres that the film is just any other commercial cinema while the director starts giving some judgements in the end.
How many directors are ready to agree in Telugu Industry that they are just bluffing people in the name of honest and art cinema, but they are playing around commercial cinema with philosophies sugar-coated on them. Director Sekhar Kammula is the right man to talk about such stuff, because he agrees that he is sugar coating. "With those regular love-stories, commercial elements and formulas, I've made my films look like art-cinema but in fact they are not", says Sekhar. Appreciating his disciple Nag Ashwin's debut flick 'Yevade Subramanyam' he made these comments.
"Yevade Subramanyam is a brand new movie. It's a path breaking flick that takes us away from regular stereotypes with love all over but not just a love-story", he adds, praising the movie for not offering solutions to anyone about life, but just portraying life.
Many directors are taking time to accept reality, but Sekhar is quick to stand by it. That's the honesty people like in him.
