Kamal Haasan who participated in two-day Yashoda International Cancer Conference in Hyderabad along with Gautami and her daughter Subbalakshmi on Saturday heaped praises on Gautami.

He said though he acted in 200 films he is not a real hero but Gautami by conquering cancer became real hero in life and is an inspiration for everyone. Kamal Haasan inaugurated the International Cancer Conference. Kamal congratulated Yashoda Hospital management for spending a lot on health care for the benefit of people rather than on hotels or cricket.

Gautami speaking at the conference after inauguration shared her experience on how she conquered cancer. She said with the help of doctors, she defeated the deadly disease and added that now she knew more about cancer. She requested doctors to provide more information to patients explaining them in detail.
