Nandu decides to accompany Akarsha to her hometown, for the wedding of her sister. At the wedding, the story takes an unexpected twist. A different side of Nandu comes out.
It is revealed that Akarsha’s father (Mukesh Rishi) and Nandu have a violent past. That past also involves Ammulu (Shruti Haasan) and an evil politician named Bikshapathi (Ravi Shankar). What is that past? Who is Nandu ? That is the story of Ramayya Vasthavayya.
Performances:
Junior NTR: Junior NTR is looking very stylish and smart. Dances, Horse riding scenes, Body language of Jr. NTR are excellent. Dialogue delivery and sentimental expressions of NTR in the second half are amazing. The speed maintained by NTR during fights is really good. Humourous Dialogues by NTR deserve praises.
Samantha: Looking cute in the Movie. The skimp dresses in one song attracts the youth.
Sruthi Hasan: The entire story is based on Sruthi. She performed her role to perfection. Sruthi's role in the movie is an asset to her.
Mukhesh rishi: Performed well suitably to his role.
Ravi Shankar: The main villain role is performed well by him. Deservs applause.
Artists: The entire team performed well.
Technical:
Though the story is old, the screen play of the Director Harish never makes you feel the same. The first half of the movie is slow- Fight followed by song and vice versa. The crucial twist at the end of the First half is really good. The action and fight
sequences of NTR will satisfy the audience. Camera skills, song locations are good. The producer Dilraju's budget can be felt on the screen. Songs and Music are good.
Positive points:
Junior NTR action, dance and style
Second half fights of NTR
Twist before Interval
Song between NTR and Rohini Hattangadi
Negative Points:
No comedy scenes
Second half story is Predictable
Slow first half
Old story line
Revenge episode could be done better
Ravi Shankar’s characterisation is very cliched.
Final word:
‘Ramayya Vasthavayya’ is a mass entertainer that showcases all of NTR’s abilities very well. Great treat to NTR fans and families. The superb first half is a big asset. A predictable and below par second half is a slight let down.
