Rajini as Hero and Kamal as Villain

Rajini as Hero and Kamal as Villain

The unthinkable, unimaginable, unbelievable and incredible combination is in air as the two biggest superstars of South Indian film industry would share screen space soon if reports are anything to go by. It's none other than Superstar Rajinikanth and Universal star Kamal Haasan. The duo is reportedly considered for eccentric director Shankar's next film. Touted to be the sequel of blockbuster Robot, Rajini is considered for hero role whereas Kamal Haasan would play baddie. It is learnt that Shankar recently approached Kamal and the actor given his nod to play the negative role opposite Rajini in the most-awaited Robot 2.

Although Bollywood star Aamir Khan was the initial choice for the villain role, he later walked out of the project for undisclosed reasons. This led Shankar to cast in Kamal who is well-known as versatile actor. It may be recalled that director Shankar shares very good rapport with both the stars. He had directed Kamal in classic cult Bharateeyudu (Indian) and delivered blockbusters like Sivaji, Robot with Rajini. Considering this, both the stars said to have agreed to come on board for the film in principle and further discussions regarding the film are going on.

However, this would not be the first time that Kamal and Rajinikanth working together. The duo acted in 16 films including in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. It's been three decades the two big stars acted together. If all goes well, southern film industry's two biggest superstars would be joining their forces to cheer up their fans. Needless to say that this is the most exiting project to look forward to this year.
