Story:

Potugadu story: Govindu (manoj) is a flirty guy who plans to suicide one day. He unexpectedly meets posani at the suicide spot. Manoj narrates his four love stories and how they failed. Rest should be watched on screen to know the reason of his failures.

Performances:

Manchu Manoj has delivered a brilliant performance in Potugadu. As featured on the posters, he really looks hilarious and notorious. He has done a commendable job in all romantic, comedy and action scenes. In fact, he is the showman in the film, which is sure to give him a big break.

There are 4 new heroines making their debut in this movie. Simran Kaur Mundi as Vaidehi, Sakshi Chowdary as Mumtaz , Rachel as Stacy , Anupriya as Priya did okay to their parts. They added necessary glam quotient.

There are too many other comedians – Ali, Satyam Rajesh, Shiva Shankar Master, Srinivas Reddy, Thagubothu Ramesh who played their part. Rest of the actors who played little roles are okay.

Supporting Artistes In Potugadu The movie has a host of comedians like Thagubothu Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali, Chandra Mohan, Satyam Rajesh, Shayaji Shinde and Raghubabu to tickle your funny bones. Vinod Kumar, Narsing Yadav, Shiva Shankar and others have done their jobs well. Sunil's voice over is also good.

Technical Departments:

The director has entwined two different life stories with 5 love stories into one, but the shaping is not successful. The first half of the film is decently paced, with okay entertainment scenes. But the second half is slow, dull and dragging, a nearly complete contrasts to the first half. A major drawback of the film is that the post-interval is majorly unconvincing.

At times, the audience tends to forget the first half of Potugadu. The second half is more like a semi documentary film with a minor connection to the first half. It is all the more disappointing when this connection is revealed in the climax. Music by Achu Rajamani and Chakri is an asset. All the songs are scored and rendered properly.

The background music is also fine. Cinematography by Srikanth is neat. He shots in Bujji Pilla and Pyaar Mein Padipoya are good. Fights are too lengthy. Editing by M R Varmaa is slack. The return of Ramalakshmi Cine Creations after 2 long years is good with grand Production Values.

Analysis:

Potugadu is a comedy story with all emotions included in it. Double meaning dialogues have a great space in the movie. It is a funny love tale with a new dimension. Music and camera work are pretty awesome. Hilarious comedy at intervals made audience to laugh their lungs out. Director pawan wadeyar did a fantastic job in compiling and narrating it without lag.

Though the film is less in duration, it satisfied the audience with all elements indulged. A small twist and few emotions in pre climax part turned the fate of the story.

Manoj and posani's conversation and few scenes where posani narrates his love story seems a bit boring. Manoj action was good. Narration of each love tale and a song in it is clearly formed and picturized. Few fights are awestruck . Hilarious comedy made audience stay back at their seats. Songs, BGM are appreciable. We can say that achu's music is one of the strength for the film. You really cannot point out any flaws in camera work.

Few shots were extraordinary. Especially during fights. He seems like an expert in canning establishment and aerial shots. Youth really will appreciate the film and for sure they acclaim it.

Final word: Overall Potugadu is a wonderful comedy entertainer, Potugadu is such kind of movie which aims to entertain you through even though there is not much of novelty in story. The first half of the movie justified to it but the pace in the second half dipped a bit. Nevertheless, the movie is expected to go well with the audience.
