Sudheer Babu Prema Kadha Chitram Movie Review

Prema Katha Chithram, directed by J Prabhakar Reddy, stars Sudheer Babu, Nanditha and Hansika Motwani and has released worldwide today. This movie is SMS film hero Sudheer Babu's second movie. Though the first attempt was not very impressive, this film seems promising.

Director J Prabhakar Reddy has made this movie along with Ee Rojullo and Bus Stop director Maruthi under the banner Maruthi Media House Productions. The movie has released with an 'A' certificate. The music is composed by JB and has received good appreciations. Here is the review of the movie.

Story:

The story starts off with the suicide issue among youngsters and also the love story between Sudheer and Nanditha. Disheartened by the way his girl friend cheated, Sudheer (Sudheer Babu) determines to end his life. Nandita (Nandita), Praveen (Praveen) and Giri (Giri), who has got same kind of problems, join Sudheer and all of them plan to commit suicide.

These people select a farm house in the city outskirts to implement their idea. What is the relation between Sudheer and Nandita? Will all of them commit suicide? What happens in the farm house? All these elements form the rest of the story.

Performances:

Turning point for Sudheer Babu His dance moves and expressions in the intense sequences are good. done a very good job in this movie. He has succeeded in showcasing the emotions of fear and surprise effectively.

Nandita is pretty and has given fabulous performance.She is simply brilliant. Nandita looks quite cute and vulnerable where required.

Praveen and Giri are the comic relief in the film and both these comedians were given equal space in the screen along with the lead actors

Double meaning dialogues from Maruthi, but they are limited and don’t give a vulagar feel.

Rest of the stars cast has nothing much to do.

Technical Departments:

Music & Background Score by J.B are nice and re-recording is another highlight for the film. Cinematography by J.Prabhakar Reddy is good and so is the editing by S.B Uddhav. Story and dialogues by Maruti are the life for Prema Katha Chitram. Production Values of RPA Creations & Maruti Media House are good.Maruthi's talent should be lauded for mixing up Romance, Comedy and Horror genres at will.

Analysis:

Prema Katha Chitram isn't carrying any pre release expectations and that is a big bonus for this movie. It hooks you and keeps you entertained all the way. There are few howlarious comedy scenes in the second half. It is total paisa vasool movie which would instantly get positive talk from all corners. Now this word of mouth will take this film to the next level at the box office.

Although the storyline is wafer thin, the writer has done an intelligent job by making it into a mixed genre movie. First half is alright until the stunning interval block. It worked out so well that it raises so many expectations on second half. The writer and director played cleverly here, by taking the comedic route. There are many repetitive scenes and the story hardly gets going at this point, but you wouldn't complain due to the entertainment quotient.
 
This film has all the ingredients to be a winner at the box office. It will appeal to all sections of audience as it is a no brainer and sheer entertainer. Prema Katha Chitram will earn some respect to Maruthi as a writer and director too.
