Shahrukh Khan Angry with Lashkar-E-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed

The Baadshah of Bollywood is quite perturbed by the recent remarks made by the Lashkar-e-Taiba leader

Unfortunately, Shahrukh Khan is once again facing the heat over his comment on being a Muslim in India. In a recent interview to Outlook Turning Points magazine, published in association with The New York Times newspaper, the superstar had said how he became “an inadvertent object of political leaders”. Titled Being a Khan, SRK wrote:

I sometimes become the inadvertent object of political leaders who choose to make me a symbol of all that they think is wrong and unpatriotic about Muslims in India. I have been accused of bearing allegiance to our neighbouring nation rather than my own country.”

Lashkar-E-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed has taken the superstar’s comment way too seriously to the extent that he even asked Shahrukh to move to Pakistan if he feels ‘insecure’ in India. In an interview aired by Pakistan’s Express TV channel, Saeed said, “Shahrukh is welcome in Pakistan and he can live here for as long as he wants.

Apparently, the Jab Tak Hai Jaan actor is quite upset by Hafiz’s remark. “Shahrukh had made the comments regarding his religion only to point out how he remains fiercely patriotic to India with a disregard for those who wish to drag his identity as a Muslim in the way of him being loved by millions of fans. He’s one of India’s most secular actors,” said a close confidante of the superstar.

Remember, while joking with co-hosts Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh at this year’s Zee Cine Awards, SRK had humorously hinted that the American airport authorities had often created unnecessary issues over his ‘Khan’ surname and he went on to say – “Khan ke chai waale ko America wale pakad lete hain!”
