When Varun Was Very Drunk
If you are Varun Dhawan, don't be worried about him! According to the sources, Varun was indeed drunk, but just to shoot an emotional sequence in the film. As a source told a leading daily, "Varun had a few drinks, that too neat, to prepare for the scene."

Director Praised His Performance
The sources further added, "The idea worked, as the scene went off well. Even the director (Shashank Khaitan) praised his performance. Varun knew that he could not have managed such a natural performance without those drinks."

Varun Is An Occasional Drinker
However an insider added that generally, Varun keeps himself away from the alcohol and he is one occasional drinker. "If there's a party or a special occasion, he may have one drink. But he knew that it was important for the scene," told an insider.

When the daily reached out to Varun, if it is true or not, the actor revealed, "I had a few drinks as the scene required that kind of an effect. I was high for a while, but everything was okay."

Varun & Alia has done two film together including Students Of The Year, which was their debut film while their second collaboration was seen in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhani. Audiences simply loved their on-screen chemistry!
