Man dies after being found shot at Dallas gas station

Dallas police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Wednesday night.

Police were called to a gas station near the intersection of Webb Chapel Road and Larga Drive in northwest Dallas, where the victim, a man, was found lying in front of a gas pump.

The man was taken to Parkland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and police say that it looks like the victim was not shot at the gas station.

Police got a call around 6:15 p.m., when someone reported that a man in his 50s was lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.

One witness told FOX 4 that he saw the man walking with a woman toward the pump, and he had his arms up, holding his chest.

The witness says the man fell to the ground, and the woman who had been walking with him apparently bent down, shaking the man and trying to get his attention.

The witness says the woman took off running and that a car drove off quickly.

Detectives don't know yet where the victim may have been shot.

There is at least one surveillance camera in the front of gas station where the victim was found, but it's unclear whether or not it points out enough to see what happened.
