Six people were injured in separate shootings in the Mission on Wednesday night, police Officer Gordon Shyy said.
The first shooting happened in the 1100 block of Alabama Street about 10:14 p.m. Three men and one woman who were standing outside were struck by gunfire, Shyy said.


The victims were a 53-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen and hip, a 38-year-old man who was shot in the leg, a 20-year-old man who was shot in the leg, and a 27-year-old woman who was also shot in the leg, police said.


The victims were hospitalized but their injuries were not life-threatening.


Police believe there were three men involved in the shooting but no arrests were made, Shyy said.


The second shooting happened some 15 minutes after the first one, in the 1300 block of Natoma Street, police said.


In that incident, two men, aged 21 and 25, were standing outside when two men who appeared to be in their 20s approached and fired several rounds at the pair, police said.


The suspects then fled in a black four-door sedan.


Police responded to the scene about 11:15 p.m. and discovered the two victims.


The victims sustained gunshot wounds to their legs and were treated at the hospital. The injuries were not life-threatening.


One person was detained in the shooting, Shyy said, but was later released.


No arrests have been made.
