Sati and Ajit who own Brick Lane Curry House in New York City, an English style Curry House serving its patrons authentic curries since 2002. After seven successful years, Sati is getting together with his old buddies and giving you a new culinary concept that will definitely titillate the hearts of the South Asian Community.Ajit, a software Engineer by profession, grew up in London in a Punjabi family and moved to New York City about 15 years ago. The Absence of a good curry house in NYC was felt by him and his buddies which led to the Bricklane Curry House and now Paratha Junction which fulfils their carving for a good old home style Paratha or Makki di roti and sarson da saag.
Sati grew up in New Delhi (in north India) in a Punjabi family but has travelled extensively within India and overseas. He has lived in all four corners on India Kolkotta (Calcutta) in the East, Ooty in the South, Mumbai (Bombay) in the West and Delhi in the north, thus bringing all his personal experiences together into this new concept.The dcor at Paratha Junction is as unique as the menu. The dining area has the walls painted with real curry and turmeric, creating soft orange and yellow hues. The entire space feels warm and quaint, yet vibrant. The solid wood tables and simple light fixtures that illuminate the space just enough to create an ambient warmth and richness that makes everybody feel at home.
