1:51 pm: Women's hockey: First attempt foiled by Indian defence, but infringement. And another PC to the Chinese.

1:34 pm: Women's Hockey: India taking on China. First quarter in progress. Still 0-0.

1:21 pm: These are definitely worst covered games!! Their official website does not work most of the times...TEN Network shows all the events which are of least importance and even do not have updates about other events...thanks to ibnLive we can atleast know the updates time to time!!!

1:07 pm: @sathish: No. 4 is his bib number. His rank in Group B is No. 1.

1:07 pm: Men's weightlifting - Vikas thakur finishes 4th in Group B with 327kg(148+179) and failed to qualify for final since qualifying mark is 340kg

12:53 pm: Sepaktakraw: Thailand blank India 3-0 in a Women's Team Preliminary Group B match.

12:50 pm: It's heart breaking to see Indian basketball team bows out and didn't finish in top 5 teams in Asia. Couple of months ago they defeat China in Basketball match and China is one of highly rated team along with Japan in Asia.

12:50 pm: Update on Men's 85 kg Weightlifting: Vikas Thakur finished with the No. 1 rank in Group B with a combined Snatch / Clean & Jerk weight of 327kg. Group A yet to commence.

12:45 pm: Any updates on Weightlifting - Vikas Thakur? The coverage is almost non-existent for these Asian games. Even official webpages of the games are not being updated well. You guys are a real saviour for fans!! Kudos!

11:53 am: Women's Doubles Tennis: Shweta Rana/Rishika Sunkara beat Pakistan's Sara Mansoor and Ushna/Suhail 6-4, 6-0 to progress to Round 2

11:45 am: India didn't win single medal in Weightlifting last time. Even if we win a Bronze, it is improvement this time. But with the competition it seems highly unlikely with Asiad players ruling the weightlifting so far...

11:45 am: Though the results do not show for it, the improvement in this Asiad is much better. We are missing some senior players across disciplines and that is bound to hamper our final tally. But, what is heartening to see is the way our players are competing across multiple disciplines. With increased monetary support and improved infrastructure, we can only look at better performances for the future. Someone should use these games and do a presentation to the sports minister asking for funds!

11:45 am: Forget about the top 3 countries in the medal tally... look at others ahead of us like Kazakhstan, North Korea, Mongolia, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, Myanmar, Vietnam, Iran, Kuwait.. We should be shame of it... We are 120 cr country and a developing country!! We talks about sports only during the team selection & during the games.. then we will go for sleep.. the countries in the top list will practice and concentrate for 365 days and 4 years.. now itself they are preparing for next Asiad/Olympics.. they start identifying from school level itself.. we will start 1 month before the games and in some cases include people after boarding the flight.. come on yar.. when we have fared better in Asiad/Olympics. Our hard earned tax money is eating by this athletes & officials...

11:45 am: @Sumit, No it's just day-5, 10 more days to go. Major Indian events yet to start. I am not worried about 65 medal overall but i am only worried about to reach 14 GOLD that we won in last edition.

11:44 am: What is the update on Archery... Recurve Women's Individual Ranking ?

11:17 am: Basketball: India trailing Iran by 10 points at 28-38 at the end of second quarter.

11:01 am: Total medal count in last Asian games was 65. I think we will fall below 50 this time :(.

11:01 am: A large number of bronze medals doesnt necessarily indicate a poor conversion rate. It is actually a good conversion from the 4th, 5th and 6th positions we manged last time around.

10:59 am: Weightlifting, Men's 85kg Group B: Vikas Thakur lifts 142kg in Snatch and 175kg in Clean and Jerk. No clear picture on the position yet.

10:55 am: I think India will improve it's total medal count this time around, though the number of Gold medals might be lower.

10:55 am: Don't compare Asian games with CWG games. Asian Games is at much higher level from competition point of view...

10:55 am: Feeling slightly sad to see there is no medal from Shooting today.

10:55 am: I think we will be the country with maximum bronze to gold ratio...poor conversion rate..just like commonwealth..

10:55 am: Guyz... India performance at Shooting in last Asian games was 1G-3S-4B. This year, it is so far... 1G-0S-5B. We still have good number of events left in the shooting...
