A case was booked against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and film director Boyapati Srinu in Rajahmundry three-town police station. Former Amalapuram MP GV Harsha Kumar's son GV Sreeraj lodged complaint with police blaming Mr Naidu and director Boyapati for the stampede resulting in the deaths of 29 innocent people.
According to reports, Sreeraj in his complaint alleged that filming of "Short film" by Boyapati Srinu on CM Chandrababu Naidu as the reason for stampede. He went onto allege that Chandrababu tried to use Pushkarams to increase his popularity.
In a detailed complaint, GV Sreeraj also alleged that director Boyapati Srinu acted as an unofficial administrator of the first day of the Pushkaram event on the mission to film the short film. Pointing out that Boyapati is no way related to the Pushkaram launch, Sreeraj questioned his presence with CM Chandrababu and breaking of protocol. Alleging that director Boyapati acted as "TDP agent", Sreeraj also alleged that Chandrababu misused his power.
TDP and government of Andhra Pradesh are yet to react on the issue and yet to set the record straight. Let's wait and watch. Looks like, the tragic Pushkar stampede incident not going to leave TDP anytime sooner.
