Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Gandhinagar in Ahmedabad to seek the blessings of his mother Heeraben Modi on his 66th birthday.

Later in the day, Modi will meet around 10,000 differently-abled people in Navsari and spend some time with them. He would also be interacting with the tribals in Limkheda.

On Friday night, Modi received a grand welcome from the Gujarat Party Leaders and Cadre. Along with Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani, State Cabinet Minister and Governor OP Kohli received him at the airport. This is PM's second visit to Gujarat in the past three weeks.

Assembly Polls were scheduled to happen in Gujarat next year. Modi might make frequent visits to his home state soon after the completion of Uttar Pradesh polls.
