Patancheru Segment : TRS leading by 1687 votesHyderabad: The results of the September 13 byelections to the Medak LS seat in Telangana and Medak Assembly seat in AP will be declared on Tuesday. It is expected that the ruling TRS and TD, respectively, will have it easy.
Elsewhere, the stakes are quite high for the BJP in the by-elections to two other Lok Sabha and 32 Assembly seats in eight states. The results could be a parameter to assess the popularity of the nearly four-month-old Modi government at the Centre.
BJP leaders are keeping their fingers crossed as the previous round of by-polls in states like Bihar and Karnataka did not go well for them. The results will be looked in the context of the upcoming Assembly elections in Haryana and Maharashtra.
