The Telangana Government plans to observe a weeklong celebration on the occasion of State Formation Day and the main fete will be organized on the ramparts of Golconda Fort on June 2. Entire Hyderabad and seven prominent towns of Telangana will be decked up for the occasion with murals, legends and also development and welfare motifs of the KCR Govt.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has set the ball rolling for first anniversary celebrations of the state formation in a big way with participation of students, employees, industrialists and also intellectuals.
Besides fanfare at Golconda, the celebrations will be in a fitting manner at Tank Bund, Warangal town, Karimangar and also Gajwel, the Chief Ministers constituency. Government plans to rope in Gaddar and other artists who had contributed for the Telangana agitation. “We should celebrate it as a liberation," said a senior TRS leader and that the CM KCR wanted the first anniversary to be a fitting reply to all Seemandhra leaders who had been dubbing the Telangana people as “uncivilized and idiots".
