YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who made a lot of hue and cry over the controversial Pattiseema project and accused the Chandrababu Naidu government of favouring a particular contractor, has suddenly gone silent on the project.

Sources said Jagan had asked reporters of his Sakshi Telugu daily and channel to stop writing negative stories about Pattiseema.

He is learnt to have said that the party had done its best to highlight the issue and got the required mileage. So, there is no point in continuously writing negative stories about the project, which would anyway be taken up by the Naidu government.

However, it is learnt that the contractor – Megha Group—had come to an understanding with Jagan on the project issue and the former had reportedly requested Jagan’s cooperation in completion of the project.

Interestingly, Krishna Reddy is a close associate of Congress MP K V P Ramachandra Rao, who was the friend, philosopher and guide for late Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy; that way, he was also closer to Jagan.
