Same sex partner of Bengali actress Disha Ganguly, who was found hanging, attempted suicide, reports suggest. Disha reportedly fell for her co-actress, whom she had met on the sets of Bengali serial ‘Mouchak’. Soon, they started living-in at Disha's flat near Parnashree, Behala, reports suggest. They were even working in a serial titled ‘Tumi Ashbe Bole’.

Disha's parents, who live in Niarobi were against Disha’s relationship with the actress and hence they flew down to Kolkata six months back to drive away their daughter’s partner from their apartment.

Recently, Disha's parents fixed her marriage with her friend Vivaan Ghosh, who is also an actor. On Wednesday, Disha’s partner and Vivaan had a heated argument over the phone. The former subsequently withdrew good amount of money from an account she and Disha held together.

On the following day, Vivaan tried contacting Disha on her mobile but each of his calls went unanswered. He rushed to Disha’s residence and discovered her body hanging from the ceiling fan.

Disha’s maid eventually informed Disha’s partner about her death and on hearing the tragic news, she too attempted suicide by jumping in front of Janshatabdi Express at Howrah Station. She was rescued and taken to a hospital in Howrah. Later, her family got her discharged from the hospital and took her to unknown place.

Police is interrogating Vivaan, reports suggest.
