AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa and DMK chief M Karunanidhi are known to be arch rivals. They don't even waste the time to exchange pleasantries even they come face-to-face and doesn't bother to make personal attacks.

Karunanidhi demanding Jayalalithaa to reveal her health status has become a sensation now in Tamil Nadu politics. "CM has no work as she has fallen ill. That's why Tamil Nadu is being run like a state sans CM," he commented, triggering a constroversy as people were clueless if Karunanidhi's demand was in the interest of people of the Tamil Nadu or a political vendetta.

Jayalalithaa's ill health reports began when she failed to greet the fans who cheered for her after being acquitted in the corruption case in May. The reports only gained strength when her council of ministers took the oath in chorus to cut short the ceremony. The most worrying fact is Jayalalithaa has cancelled and postponed a lot of programmes after her swearing-in ceremony. She flagged off Chennai Metro Rail from the CMO itself and even gave a miss to AIADMK's Iftar Dinner.
