New Delhi: For the first time after declaring all the candidates for 70 seat-Delhi Assembly, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal met its nominees on Monday, and advised them to "mind their conduct" and "not fall in any trap" laid by rival parties besides verifying voters' list.

According to a candidate who attended the meet, Kejriwal gave the aspirants tips on how to go about with the campaign.

The party has given tickets to 35 new faces this time.

Although many of them have either contested corporation election or managed last Assembly or Lok Sabha election, a sizeable are contesting their maiden elections.

"He told us to be cautious and alert. Rival parties may indulge in giving freebies and we should keep an eye on that.

Many candidates shared their both positive and negative experiences," said a former AAP MLA, requesting anonymity.

The party has also instructed to verify the voters' list to avert bogus voting.

"The party is of the opinion that there are still a lot of fake voters and we should do our bit to verify the list as this will hamper our prospects in the election," said a candidate.

Another candidate said that the party has asked them to emphasise on door to door and projector campaigns run by AAP.

"We were asked to take care of our acharan (conduct). The rival parties will lay a trap for us and we should not fall into it. This will not only bring bad name to the candidate, but also for other candidates and the party," said a candidate from West Delhi.
