Hyderabad: A 42 year old woman was arrested for drunk and drive. She was arrested for ramming her car into three vehicles and injuring a person at Alwal on Saturday night.

According to the police sources, the offender was G. Aruna Shastri. She is an entrepreneur and resident of Marredpally, she was caught by locals near Balajinagar in Alwal, while she was trying to escape after ramming her car into two other cars and a bike, injuring a person.

As per the reports, Locals allegedly found her drunk and handed her over to the Alwal police, who found her under the influence of alcohol beyond permissible limits.

She had 100/170mg alcohol and was booked for drunk driving and under Section 337 for negligent driving. Police said, Bharat, a local dancer, was also accompanying in her car. “We have arrested her and later released her on station bail. She will be produced before court on Monday, said inspector S.V. Hari Krishna.
