Nalgonda: Five persons were killed and a six-year old boy was severely injured in a road accident near Wadapally in Nalgonda district in the wee hours of Tuesday when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry coming in the opposite direction.

The mishap occurred when S K Khaleel (29), a resident of Wadapally, along with his family and two friends, was returning home after attending a marriage of a relative in Nalgonda. When they were just one km away from home the over-speeding car hit the lorry resulting in five fatalities.

The victims were Khaleel, his wife Rizwana (25), daughter Parwana (four), Vijay Kumar (35) and P Saidaih, friends of Khaleel.  Taj who received severe injuries was shifted to Hyderabad for treatment. Wadapally police took up investigation.
