Some 500 applicants in Mahbubabad of Warangal district submitted fake certificates and earned money through the government-sponsored Kalyana Lakshmi and Shadi Mubarak schemes. This was brought to light in an inquiry by the officials. It is learnt that the VRO was involved in issuing these certificates. The government should take action against the culprits and see that the genuine candidates benefit, people said.
