Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said he would become “Lord Narasimha” to ensure that every household get a tap and safe drinking water in Telangana State.

Speaking at Medak District Development review meeting on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said he will plunge into swift action to push the prestigious project of Telangana Water Grid, whose works should come into effect as per schedule. “It does not seem the water grid works will get expedited unless he takes up the role of “Narasimha”, he said.

Directing the leaders and officials to go in tandem with, KCR asked Sarpanch and MPTC to resign to their posts if women and girls came to roads for drawing drinking waters. I do not want to see them on roads for catching drinking waters in future, he warned. KCR also said that the officials have to shift their focus to reach this target. Since peoples issues are paramount for us the officials have to gear up to address their needs through persistent efforts, KCR said. He made it clear that there is no need of calling tenders for taking up soil roads.
