India to protest against Lakhvi bail,India hits out at Pakistan on Lakhvi bail,Lakhvi to release from jail

India has decided to convey its displeasure to Pakistan and put forward a strong response against granting of bail to Lashkar-e-Toiba commander and 26/11 Mumbai attacks accused Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.

Sources said the Indian government started working along with its mission in Islamabad on a strong response against the court verdict.

India's decision comes after an anti-Terrorism Court in Pakistan today granted bail to Lakhvi and six others accused of planning and abetting the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) prosecutor disagreed with the bail request. However advocate Rizwan Abbasi, representing Lakhvi, appeared before the court as the bail pleas was granted, Dawn online reported.

The seven accused - Lakhvi, Abdul Wajid, Mazhar Iqbal, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Shahid Jameel Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Younis Anjum - are facing trial at the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

Lakhvi is among the seven people charged with planning and helping to execute the 26/11 carnage that claimed 166 lives, including those of foreigners and injured hundreds more.

His release from jail comes a day after Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif pledged to announce a "national plan" to tackle terrorism within a week, saying "this entire region"should be cleaned of terrorism.
