HYDERABAD: A TCS software engineer was drugged and robbed of his iPhone at Afzalgunj bus stand on Wednesday night.

The Mir Chowk police said that Mohammed Mustafa halted at Afzalgunj to catch a bus to reach his house in Mogalpura. An unknown person, introducing himself as a defence personnel, offered him a job in the Army if he was willing to pay Rs 50,000.

"My brother replied that he already has a job and he was not interested in his offer. Later, the person offered Mustafa a chocolate. After eating the chocolate, Mustafa lost consciousness,'' Basheer, the victim's brother, said. Late on Wednesday night, Basheer got a call from a passerby informing him that his brother had suffered injuries and was unable to walk as he was feeling drowsy.

The victim reportedly also lost a bag which contained a few documents while other belongings like ATM card were untouched. A case was registered.
