Rajendra Nagar (Ranga Reddy): Minister for Commercial Taxes Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud and Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy participated in Swachh Hyderabad programme organised at Budvel basti, Yerraboda basti, Hyderguda and Chintalmet under Rajendra Nagar circle on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Swamy Goud said that any programme would become successful with people’s participation. He stated that throwing garbage on roads will create inconvenience to commuters. To improve cleanliness in the city, Goud said that the state government would provide two dust bins to each house to throw waste into them.
He stated that rickshaw arranged by the Sanitation Department of GHMC would collect waste from the houses. He pointed out that Swachh Hyderabad campaign would continue till the city becomes clean.Srinivas Yadav said Rs 50 lakh would be sanctioned to each division as part of Swachh Hyderabad programme.
“Funds allocated would be utilised for taking up works on priority basis,” he added. Yadav said the government would sanction more funds if officials send estimates to overcome funds shortage. Minister announced that he was sanctioning Rs 10 lakh for construction of a youth club at Hyderguda. He said that efforts would be made for setting up e-library in the Youth Club.
