The She teams that have been praised for the past month for their efforts in curbing eve-teasing in the city, but recent incident is drawing criticism for alleged punishment of an accused in public.

A 50-year-old man was allegedly man handled by She team members, when he was taken to custody for making obscene gestures to women near Koti Women’s College.

The She team members who were stationed in Koti were in plain clothes where they saw the accused rubbing himself on the women at the bus stop and making obscene gestures towards them. The she cops recorded the incident and nabbed him.
