Vizag:Union Minister for Human Resources development Smrithi Irani is coming to Vizag on January 5th to inaugurate Indian Institute of Management. The state government has decided to start the courses from the next academic year itself. So, it allocates the Andhra Bank Management Building located in the Andhra University for IIM temporarily. Minister Smrithi Irani will formally inaugurate IIM to enable the government to make necessary arrangements for conducting the classes from next academic year. State government has allotted a vast land to IIM at Gambheeram village near Madhurawada in Vizag city. Recently, a central team has visited the site and expressed satisfaction. So, once the construction of campus is completed there, IIM will shift there. State government idea of beginning the courses in the temporary building from next year itself may help the aspiring students to pursue higher studies in their home state. It may also encourage the Centre to grant funds for constructing the permanent premises for the prestigious institution.
