Hyderabad: Hinting at the possibility of YSRCP chief and Leader of the Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy ‘may’ go to jail again for his alleged swindling of money, AP Minister for Information and Public Relations Palle Raghunath Reddy today lambasted the former for his alleged remarks that Telugu Desm rule will survive for only two years.
Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Raghunath Reddy came down heavily on Jaganmohan Reddy for indulging in prediction and asked him to take up foretelling as a profession. The minister took serious exception for his alleged remarks that TDP government would collapse after two years and prevent the government from acquiring lands from farmers and people using police force.
Raghunath Reddy also slammed Jagan for day-dreaming to become Chief Minister, but it would never come true. He further alleged that while late chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy attained notoriety by looting the State and dumped the people, Jagan is emulating his father. He also lashed out at Jagan for going mad for power and ignoring the plight of the farmers and people in the State. The minister further said the TDP government, which was elected by people would not only complete its five year term but also would come back to rule the State for another term.
“Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is noted for commitment and welfare of the people and working day and night to build a new capital on international standards through land pooling process. We are not forcing any one to surrender land but the people voluntarily coming forward to give land for the capital city. The minister also denied charges that they are using police force to acquire lands. Attributing people bursting fire crackers in support of the Chief Minister, the minister alleged that the YSRCP pressed some anti-social elements to set some farm lands on fire.
