YSRCP MLAs to get berth in CRDA
Vijayawada: AP government has constituted the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) to supervise all activities related to capital construction. According to the CRDA draft bill guidelines, four MLAs from the ‘development area’ two each from Krishna and Guntur districts have to be nominated as members in the CRDA by the state government. So, generally chances are picking up from ruling party only.
However, YSR Congress party that is fighting with the government over land acquisition is likely to get one berth in the CRDA due to this condition of nominating two each from both districts. This proposed development area comes under Tadikonda and Mangalagiri constituencies.
TDP MLA Sravan Kumar is representing Tadikonda constituency and Mangalagiri is represented by YSRCP MLA A. Ramakrishna Reddy. So, he also has a bright chance to be nominated into CRDA.
However, TDP MLAs from both districts are keen to grab all four seats to themselves. State government is likely to issue an ordinance on CRDA formation and its rules and regulations. So then only, we may know whether YSRCP MLA is able to wrest his seat from TDP or not.
