Sushma helps Pak bride to reach India

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, who has been winning hearts with her kind and timely acts, even when Pakistani people are involved, has this time made an almost impossible cross-border wedding possible.

Jodhpur based young man Naresh was engaged to Pakistani girl Priya for the past three years. Their wedding was scheduled to happen on 7th November in Jodhpur. Although the bride and her family applied for visas long back, there had been a delay by the Indian embassy in granting visas in the wake of the rising tensions between the two nations.

After waiting for nearly a month, the families of the bride and groom were planning to postpone the wedding. To make the final effort, Naresh had made a request to Sushma Swaraj on twitter to arrange visas for the bride and 35 others so that the Pakistani family could land in India to attend the wedding.

Sushma Swaraj responded in no time and helped the family get visas from Indian embassy and land in Jodhpur a day ahead of the marriage date.

The families couldn't thank the minister enough for the help she had done to make the wedding possible.
