Arya and  Anushka Shetty's Irandam Ulagam which opened to mixed reviews has grossed approximately around Rs 6.7 crores on its opening first (1st) day at box office.

The film witnessed above average occupancy level at singles and multiplexes during its first day first show.Director Selvaraghavan has narrated the story which traverses around two different worlds.

Varna, the Telugu version of Irandam Ulagam was also released on the same day and received mixed reviews and critics from the Telugu film-goers.
The film might observe decent collections on its first weekend if receives positive word of mouth.
