Bollywood superhero movie Krrish 3 starring Hrithik Roshan, Kangna Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi in leads, has concluded the first week with a record-breaking collection at the Indian Box Office. The Rakesh Roshan-directed film has become the highest grosser in the opening week, beating the record of Chennai Express and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. In just seven days, the sci-fi flick has also become the fifth all-time highest grosser Hindi cinema.

Prior its release, Krrish 3 had rocketed the viewers' curiosity to the sky high. The makers had a massive promotions for the movie. In addition, the film released in 4,000 screens across the country on November 1. Trade experts had predicted that it would break the opening day record of Chennai Express, which had collected Rs 33.12 crores from 3,500 screens in domestic market. Although it opened to robust response, the Hrithik Roshan starrer failed to meet the expectations on its opening day.

Krrish 3 could not show improvement in its business over the weekend, but it obviously did it on the weekdays. The movie did the highest single day collection on Monday and its business on other weekdays is also record-smashing ones. The Hrithik Roshan starrer has collected Rs 166.52 crores nett at the Indian Box Office in seven days. Its breakup is Rs 25.5 cr on Fri, Rs 23 cr on Sat, Rs 24.3 cr on Sun, Rs 35.91 cr on Mon, Rs 26.26 cr on Tue, Rs 18.11 cr on Wed and Rs 13.44 cr on Thu.

Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express was holding the record of the highest grosser in the first week with its collection Rs 156.7 crores nett at the Indian Box Office. Now, Krrish 3 has smashed this record and set a new benchmark in the domestic market.
