Children under 18 are banned from watching 'A' certified films in theaters

Now the moral code to watch movies has arrived in India. Multiplex theaters in almost all the metro cities have begun implementing the moral code to watch movies in their theaters. The most affected by this moral code is children below the age of eighteen. Films that have “A” certification from the Censors are now banned from screening to the children below the age of eighteen. Multiplex theaters across the nation have taken this decision not to allow children below the age of eighteen into theaters to watch “A” certified films.

Most of the youngsters do not know about this new moral code that multiplex theaters are implementing. And this lack of information is creating ruckus at multiplex theaters with theater owners and youngsters entering into altercations which at times is turning violent.

So I Luv Cinema has taken upon itself to spread this information to all the cine-goers across the nation. Please take note that children below the age of eighteen are not allowed to watch “A” certified films in theaters.

Even parents cannot take their children below the age of eighteen to such “A” certified movies in theaters. It is said some theater owners are not allowing children below the age of eighteen even to watch “U/A” certified movies. So before venturing out to go to a theater to watch a movie; or if you are allowing your children to go to a theater to watch a film; please look for the grade of certification whether the movie is certified “A” grade, “U” grade or “U/A” grade.

Films certified as “U” or “U/A” can be watched by all age groups. The Central Board of Film Certification or Censor Board of India grants these grades to movies after watching them. “U” stands for Universal meaning all age groups in the universe can watch. “U/A” stands for part Universal part Adult. These “U/A” certified films too can be watched by all age groups. Whereas “A” stands for Adult meaning the movie contains Adult content that can be viewed by adults only and not for children below eighteen years of age.
