Dohchay” is an action comedy thriller and Sudheer Varma, who hogged the limelight with “Swamy Ra Ra”, has written the story for the film and also directed it. The film is a routine mass masala entertainer, which is about a young guy from a middle-class family who takes the wrong route to run his family after his cab driver father is unjustly arrested by the police.

Naga Chaitanya played the hero in “Dohchay”, while Kriti Sanon appears as his love interest. Rao Ramesh has played Naga’s father. All the actors have delivered wonderful performance. Naga’s action sequences, Kriti Sanon’s glamour, some comedy scenes, MR Sunny’s music and Richard Prasad’s cinematography are the big attractions of the movie, say movie buffs who have already watched the film.

Story:

Rao Ramesh is a honest cab driver happily living taking care of his family and their needs. One day Rao Ramesh gets arrested for the burglary that he has not committed. His family life goes awry with problems mounting on the family. Naga Chaitanya, the son of this honest cab driver decides to get his father released from by proving his honesty. To catch the actual robbers he becomes one, like the proverbial saying, “a diamond only cuts the diamond”. On the other hand, he needs money to pay for his sister’s medical college fee and more money to get his father released from jail. So to accomplish these tasks he turns into a dreaded robber himself. How he proves his father’s innocence and honesty, and how he funds his sister’s medicinal studies forms the rest of the story.

Performances: Naga Chaitanya, of late, has improvised a lot on his acting skills. He delivered a brilliant performance. Even his sense of timing in delivering comic dialogues is superb. Brahmanandam, Ravi Babu and Posani excelled in their performances. While Kirti Sanon looked pretty hot in the movie.

Plus Points:
The movie is a visual treat.
The songs are just good.
Lots of comic scenes that make the theaters burst into laughter.
Fights and bike chases are shot extremely well.

Minus Points:
The first half is slow-paced.
The script has loose ends.
It looks like it has shades of Swamy Ra Ra, which was directed by same Sudheer Varma

Verdict :  Dohchay” is just an action comedy thriller.  It's well executed first half and hilarious last half an hour are basic plus points. If you manage to sit through the predictable 20 minutes post interval, you will definitely like this action thriller.
