Drishyam Tamil remake is finally set to roll and the makers have revealed the complete cast details of the movie. Kamal Haasan starrer is tentatively titled as Papanasam and Gauthami replaces Meena's role.

As earlier said, director Jeethu Joseph who has filmed the original version Mohanlal's Drishyam will wield the megaphone for Papanasam. Negative role by Kalabhavan Mani, while Asha Sarath will play the same role she did in the original.

Niveda Thomas of Vijay’s Jilla fame will reprise the role of Kamal’s elder daughter, the main character that the movie revolves around. And child artist Esther will play Kamal's 8-year-old daughter, while Siddique's role will be essayed by Ananth Mahadevan in the Tamil version.

Papanasam will be filmed in Tirunelveli backdrop in the joint production of Sri Priya and her husband Rajkumar Sethupathy along with Suresh Balaji and George Pius of Wide Angle Creations.
