Kamna Jethmalani is miffed with reports about her "secret wedding" doing the rounds. "It was an arranged marriage, and there was nothing secretive about it. I got married on August 11 in a private ceremony attended by friends and family," clarified Kamna, who was in Hyderabad for an event on Saturday.

The actress got hitched to Suraj Nagpal, a Bangalore-based businessman. When asked why she stayed mum about her wedding for all these months, she says, "I am a very private person and did not want to make a big deal about my wedding. Anyways, I found some pics of my wedding surface online about a month after the ceremony. So I thought the word got out. It all happened so quickly anyway."

Apparently, Suraj wasn't aware that Kamna was an actress. "Some of his friends recognised me and told him that I was an actress. He was stumped. He was very curious to know about the glam world, link-ups, rumours, etc. But we gradually understood each other and about a month later, he came to Mumbai to visit me and went down on his knee and proposed to me, and that's when I decided that he is the guy for me," recalls Kamna adding, "I always wanted to marry someone who wasn't from the film industry."

Kamna, who is presently shooting for an upcoming suspense thriller, Chandrika and is keen on continuing as an actress. "Life hasn't changed much. I realised that things don't stop even after marriage. Once I'm done with my work, I go back home and it's just like any other day. It's just that I feel like I'm answerable to someone but it's a very secure feeling," adds Kamna.
