“What can you do? Will you rape me? Do you have the guts? Maybe you will foist SC/ST atrocities cases on me. What else can you do apart from that?” commented Roja in the Assembly.

Even the most seasoned politician in the Assembly was taken aback by her speech. While the YSRCP calls her a bold woman, the TDP and allies call her a shameless person for her remarks.

Whatever be the perception regarding her, there is now a clamor from the TDP politicians to remove Roja from ‘Jabardasth’.

A request to this effect is believed to have been made to ETV and the producers of ‘Jabardasth’. Says one TDP politician, “Naga Babu’s prestige will go down if he continues to associate with Roja in that programme.”

How far is it correct to ask for Roja’s removal from Jabardasth because of her statements in the Assembly? Surely, her TV show has nothing to do with her political career, right?
