After acting in a string of small and medium budget films and impressing the industry folks, actress Rashmi Gautam gained popularity with the superhit comedy show, Jabardasth. The sensuous beauty is now making her comeback to films with the national award winning director Praveen Sattaru's upcoming comedy, Guntur Talkies.

In an interview to a popular national daily, Rashmi said that Tollywood is not an easy place to find opportunities for those who step in the industry without filmy connections. Rashmi further said that she turned to TV when offers eluded her even though she has been a part of the industry for more than a decade and impressing everyone with her sensitive performances in films like Prasthanam.

The hotshot anchor revealed that she chose Jabardasth out of what she was offered at that time and it did wonders to her career. Rashmi also said that she was pleasantly surprised when she was approached by Praveen Sattaru for the film, since he could have cast any other established actress in her place. Rashmi is quite confident of the film's success and her role being appreciated once the film releases.
