The eccentric genius, who always hogs the limelight with several controversial statements, has surprised everyone with his unexpected positive and supportive outlook towards the much discussed issue, the banned India's Daughter documentary.

Ram Gopal Varma, who is deeply moved by the film, expressed several highly interesting and thought provoking insights on his Twitter page against the centre's banning of the film and even the deeply regressive mindset of the defence lawyers in the film and the politicians who are voicing against the film.

Needless to say, RGV's tweets certainly shocked everyone, when he himself is often targeted for his irresponsible comments about women and even for the outrageous portrayal of the fairer sex in his films. This one time, his critics are agreeing with Ramu and the filmmaker is even winning their appreciation for his positivity. All we can hope now is that Ramu maintains this common sense and reflect it in his films as well.
